Keane was a great player, but outside of his Sunderland spell, he was abysmal in management. It must be why he hated Carrick so much. Roy was a United legend and captain fantastic, and Carrick seemed like the meek midfielder that couldn't fill his shoes when he was bought in 2006. But Carrick ended up being the current United manager, while Keane left United in disgrace as a player and United would liquidate the club before they ever offered Keane a role in management.

Basically the players were pathetic. Fergie used to shout at the more experienced players when they didn’t even do anything wrong. It was about sending a message to the rest of the team.
