His German started showing at the end there 😂
I’m Dutch, and there was one time I went to a German christmas market (I don’t think there really is an English word for that), and I asked for a bratwurst. Apparently my pronounce was so bad he just said “Ik spreek ook gewoon Nederlands hoor” which means “I also just speak Dutch”. It was so embarassing.

I mean, it’s a loan word. If he was speaking German he’d have been mispronouncing it, but it’s now a word that exists in two languages and so has a different pronunciation in each. It’s the same with like, croissant or tamale or paneer (it happens a lot with food).

I can not stand when people act like they dont know what you're saying, then say the same thing back to you. Obviously, you understood what I said.

"You're butchering my beautiful language!"
He just snuck in the Animal Farm reference. 😂
