My sandy koufax coach in 1982 told me if someone tries to steal home hit the batter. Never forgot it.

The batter knew. He was furious. Reflected in the way he threw his bat.

That's Chase Anderson. I remember him as a starter for the Brewers like 2016-2019. This had to be from 2016 because Lucroy the catcher was traded away around the deadline in 2016. He was a decent pitcher for the Brewers but nothing extraordinary. He made his starts and at least gave us a chance most days he pitched to win or stay in the game.

Old school baseball - learned that in Babe Ruth when I was 13 - I’m now 65 - most pitchers don’t have the nads to hit the batter…

And he did it to the Reds. Pete Rose would have stollen home so fast the pitcher would never had seen him.

Pitcher had a big target!Batter threw his bat down, upset: was going to bunt, couldn’t move his big body out of the way!😂

Great play, helps to know those odd rules that rarely come into play.
I freaking love baseball ❤
