Hockey players are a lot more loyal to their franchise than nba or nfl players mcdavid has two years in this extension to win a cup with the oilers and if it doesn’t happen next year he’s gonna request a trade after the 2026-2027 season before the contracts over guaranteed

I can't imagine how frustrated Connor is, but i REALLY feel especially sorry for the fans!!! They were SO CLOSE in 2006(I'm sorry, as a Canes fan, please forgive us!), but they have had a ton of frustration since then!!! They are such a passionate fanbase and they deserve better just like the players do! I have always wanted to travel to Edmonton to catch an Oilers game in person... I hope the Edmontonians don't try to k!ll me while I'm there!😂 I want to make it to a game against Calgary! I want to see the Battle of Alberta up close and personal!!!😂

And I would like to add, the no cups is not on McDavid. It's on coaching and roster construction. Bad contracts, bad signings and stupid traces have killed them

Take the C off his chest. Just because he is good at hockey doesn't mean he's a good leader. Give him an A to keep everyone happy if you want but get rid of the C. As soon as team Canada to put it on his jersey because Sid was injured, I knew it was over

I'm not sure hardly anybody realizes this, but the savings on his extension begin next season. This season was the final one on his existing contract. The discount he gave the team begins next season.
