I HATEEE when I'm playing a game with someone and they get up and leave before its finished

I lowkey feel like they’re sometimes too lazy/uninterested in learning the rules for most games so they just give up lol. My mothers competitiveness only comes out when she’s playing a game that she likes 😂

My family is so ridiculously competitive that last Christmas my own mom called me a bitch for winning Scrabble off of her word

This always upset me as a kid, I'd want to play with them all day and then they'd just get up and leave like it didn't even matter It used to make me feel like they didn't actually want to be there, like they didn't care and they'd rather do anything else

My MIL is like this. She always says how shes lucky in love but unlucky in cards

My mom is the exact opposite of this. When she was a kid she had to stop playing video games because the urge to win was so strong for her it controlled her life 😂

Somthing that annoyed me growing up was i would always ask my mom and family to play boardgames but they always said no and then my mom would complain that i dont do anything, and when they played games and i said i didnt want to i got forced to play and it was so stupid and annoying and would make me angry that they could say no but i couldnt?

At this point she’ll just show you her cards to be proud of you for winning 😅😂

See personally tho I never do the 25 cards and you lose rule. It makes it way more fun to draw as many cards as you can imo

Ngl it feels like they either just didn't want to play with you because they don't think that bonding is necessary, OR it's because they realized that they are loosing and it's the equivelent of just flipping the table

This reminds me of my grandma that had Alzheimer’s for some reason 😭 she would just be less engaged, talk less and be forgetful. Was never competitive. Idk. She’s gone now

This isn't necessarily a lack of competitive drive, it can also be lacking the social status and power to get away with winning without negative consequences.

My parents would do this, its so clearly they were just uninterested in playing with us tbh. She once let it slip that she found it annoying to play with little me and it hrt because the time she was talking about was one of my only memories of playing with her and i had cherished it. Some parents have kids just to say they had them, dojt bother with guiding, nurturing, or playing whatsoever.

Why are these mom-videos the most relatable thing ever? These remind me so much of my mom, it's uncanny.
