This is like taking a college course. Thanks for offering it free. I used to bake cakes decades ago, even wedding cakes, and I would like to make cakes again. Thanks to people like you and YouTube for providing this platform.

In the last few years I've really gotten into baking. I've been winging it, trial by error, but tonight this video popped up on my feed. Now i feel motivated to continue the creativity!

Watching this one video is as good as taking an expensive class at the local culinary school. My cakes have always been fine for a home baker, but never "wow." I finally understand the various things I've been doing wrong. Sawing the knife straight across the tops of layers: guilty. Not paying attention to the temps of the cakes, frostings, and room around me: also guilty. The next time I make a cake for a special occasion, I bet people are going to think I bought it!

Dear Erin, I.m frankly telling you , that I have gone 4 cookery classes to learn cake making.. But the knowledge that I obtained are not sufficient to make a proper cake, I'm daily watching , how to do a layer cake as I need to learn to make a wedding cake for my grand daughter if i would be fortunate. So the courage I got and the techniques you used would be full fill my dream ., Thank you..
