You will often see a player carrying another player into the air. This is so they can get the ball faster as the opposing team cannot tackle someone if they are in the air.

There's a phrase used when you're learning to tackle called "cheek to cheek", because your meant to put your face cheek next to their butt cheek and when lifting for a lineout (when the ball gets thrown in both teams stand in a line and try to jump to catch it) the person at the back uses the jumpers butt as a hold to lift them from. Its a very intimate sport 😂

I honestly appreciate the video, but also appreciate all the people who are trying to genuinely teach us about rugby. 😅 I learned what the hold is for and will be watching more of this sport. Thanks!
