No robotaxis for me unless lidar is involved. I can likely drive with only 1 eye open, but why would I? Bats have the equivalent with sound and can navigate at night or in fog FAR more efficiently and swiftly than any human. No lidar adds risk for Elon's ego. Hard pass.
Who is cleaning the Cabs? Do they get Vandalism protection. With no Door handles what happens in an accident or fire?
I noticed the Tesla Stop & Shop doesn't have a back seat at all that mean only the car only have only the two seats in the front you do not have that in your picture only saw the two seats in the front could you please explain cuz that makes a lot of difference in many of us

How could older Tesla's be in the Robo taxi fleet if they don't have the camera washing systems what's gonna happen when they're all smudged and dirty and they start crashing

I think this is a good analysis for the most part. I think Tesla has to be a little more in the lead of any competitors at this point and into the future. Tesla thinks about everything that will be needed and is prreparing for it in a big way. Robo building cars in the most cost efficient way and not having to pay overhead for the building to the makers. Another way is its unique supply chain roboustness to keep things going on time and in volume. Additionally, already having existing infrastructor in in virtually every location that they sell cars to allow for getting parking, cleaning, repairing available. History with selfdriving issues in most locations and expanding the needed personel to manage it in each location. Probably working on a better way to geo fence. Over-the-air updates to improve the mechanical system. And finally always looking for needs before they become major problems. I am not sure that they will be dominant every place but I am pretty sure they will be profitable in a dramatic way.
I have seen about 15-20 gold Robo Taxis in Austin. Never seen one without a driver...
Regardless of getting this to work.. a coupe is stupid.... It should be a 4door so 4 people can get in. I often pile into an Uber where we jam 3 in the back and 1 in the front. And if I wanted a car that I could lease out when I'm not using it.. I would want a 4 door!!
