*PSA: STREET SAFETY AND TRACK SAFETY DO NOT MIX.* Shoulder belt + airbag is one option. Cage + harness + no airbag + HANS is the other option. THERE IS NOTHING IN BETWEEN. These are complete systems that work together. Changing one factor but not the rest breaks everything. Cage without helmet = brain damage from a low speed crash Harness without HANS = whiplash Harness without cage = your neck becoming the roll cage when the harness holds you in place

Bucket seats in general, did some on my rx8 and they sucked for longer drives. Wasn’t really an issue until I had a class 45 minute away and it was a rough drive. Get something that you can adjust because passive driving and active driving are two different things

I’ll always argue that safety mods like a 5 point harness while unappealing to some are never a bad idea. It’s only an extra 15 sec to strap in and get out, and if I were to ever get into a crash I’d prefer it to be with a harness on

Not to be all devil's advocate but the shifters on some cars are designed in a way that you don't really have any customization options but to put on a universal knob. Late 90s and early 2000s Renaults for example

Should note that the harness, roll cage, and fixed seat is only safe if you have your track suit on. They aren't meant for day to day stuff and if you get in a wreck where it matters there's a good chance things will be unnecessarily worse because you wanted to feel cool.

Hey guys just a heads up, nrg prisma and many other nrg seats are not FIA approved, meaning they did not go through the vigirous testing of other name brand seatsblike sparco or bride. Harness's look sweet too, but harnesses and harness bars arent safe WITHOUT A HELMET. Many seats also come with airbags, just like your steering wheel.. which also comes with airbags and MAYBE shouldnt be changed out if your dailying the car and y'know.. don't want to die.. Take my advice if you want, im someone with nrg seats, and a aftermarket steering wheel.. my cars going to be tracked mostly, after i ditch the seats (waste of money), but i dont drive my car nearly as much on the road anymore because of this. I hope someone else can learn from my mistakes and maybe save a little money and stay more safe on the road. Sick of these car tiktok guys saying nrg seats are safe, its okay to delete airbags, and acting like its safe to drive around with a harness/harness bar and no helment. Its NOT safe.

I have bucket seats in my street is300…. Only bad thing is that I can’t put the seat back to lay down when I’m sitting somewhere.

I havent moved my seat in over a year except for when someone is in the back seat. But by the time i get buckets in the front i wont have a back row anymore so wont have to worry about someone behind me lol

I did a 4 point and kept mt seatbelt. I added velco to the shoulder straps and to the back of my seat. So I can use whichever seatbelt I want to

So, I'll be honest, I quite literally NEED a fixed seat for my MR-2 Spyder. I already have it as far back as it can go, and my legs barely clear the wheel, I can't heel-&-toe with the way it is right now. I'm hoping if I get fixed seats, the removal of the slider system will give me just enough clearance to be able to heel-&-toe.

First off, I personally wouldnt do any of these to my car, because I dont really care about that kind of thing. What I really dont get is how these videos say, "Dont do this," but refuse to tell you why. If you want people to learn what not to do, you have to tell them why, or they may do it anyway or not know what to look put for. Lastly, 90% of these videos are just elitism and I just think people should be allowed to have fun. It's their car, not yours.
