my neighbor bought a 1967 impala for 2500$ cost 150$ to make it start he drove it for a couple months like that and after he started to restored it completely

Back in 1988 I traded a set of slicks and a Holly 750 carb that I paid under $100 for a 1968 Ram Air Firebird. I didn't realize how rare it was till it was too late. The car had a 3 speed automatic, A/C, power steering, breaks and windows. As most 68s Ram air had either a 4 speed manual or a powerglide tranny and no powered anything for drag racing and it was a rare color (Gold) it was one of only 12 cars w/ A/C a 400 turbo-automatic A/C and no info on those 12 on colors but as the gold was rarely picked it probably was the ONLY 1 of 1 made... It had only 3k miles and just 1 crack in the dash pad. The rest of the interior and paint job was perfect BUT the car wasn't running and my mother made me sell it when I left for university :( I found out later how rare it was and the guy I sold it too only needed a carb rebuild kit and a new battery to get it running, BUT he ripped the interior out, welded a roll cage in it and crashed it in dirt track stock racing... THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY !!!!! Still can't believe I did this to this DAY !!!
