You've reached the end
I hate the string pin sets because it can really f up the pin action
Those string pin setters are fine if you're after a cute little game that sorta resembles bowling.
I will never bowl in a place with strings attached to the pins. Thanks for keeping the old way alive
I mean the string might make it easier and more affordable in the long run I just can't see a world were that is a thing! One of the most iconic things in bowling is seeing the pins go everywhere and even trying to make them explode and go flying! Well with the strings that almost all vanishes so I think OG Bowling is the GOAT and there is no place for the other method!
Nobody wants to pay someone to work that job enough to actually afford even an apartment and savings
It's not that people don't want to get their hands dirty anymore. It's people don't want to physically wreck their body for unacceptable money.
Nobody wants to get their hands dirty? Nah, the ones in charge don't pay enough.
My dad was that mechanic. He was known as the best in the southeast.
'Nobody wants to get their hands dirty' ...'I don't know how to fix them' 😂
Thank you for showing us this grand mystery. Our inner child finally knows
“Nobody wants to get their hands dirty anymore” Have you considered offering a living wage and benefits?
It's not "Oh people don't want to get their hands dirty" or "This generation is too lazy" it's most likely "They don't want to work for the peanuts I'm gonna give them". We want real wages and respect
I work at a 24 lane that is privately owned, The corporate own bowling alley 10 miles down the road are busier than us even though their prices are higher all because they are a fancy bowling alley.
"nobody wants to get their hands dirty anymore. You're asking for a master mechanic at the price range that is lower than an Amazon warehouse worker. You'd have to pay this dude 60k minimum because he would need to have experience, order parts on his own. And probably fabricate parts, while also not having someone to tech Him.
"How do I learn to fix these thing? Can you teach me?" "Sorry that's my job security and no I won't teach you before I retire."
You could easily find someone who'd be willing to learn to fix it. Nobody wants to get their hands dirty is just an excuse that business owners use.
I work at a bowling alley with those same machines, i am training to be able to fix those from my boss and i could not be more excited
My Grandfather was a mechanic for these machines and was certified in them. Just to give you a little context on how important that is, he could have walked into any bowling alley and said "I'm a certified mechanic" and he would have immediately gotten a job because of how rare it was 30 years ago. I can't imagine how hard it is to find someone now to get a certified mechanic for these machines.
I've been googling there are pinsetter mechanic schools they teach at bowling alleys
My dad owned a bowling ally for 13 years and it was called Midway Lanes! (He showed me almost EVERY THING)
