Ferrari Luce - Watch This BEFORE Hating The Car OR Hating ME !

I liked your honest presentation video of the Luce. And I’m sorry that there are people who does not know how to communicate in a decent manner. This second video is also very good feedback to the vicious comments even they probably won’t be heard. I like seeing your posts and hearing your honest opinion. Even i will never be able to purchase a Luce. Or any other Ferrari for that sake. Keep up the good work 👍

First time watching your channel. Subscribed. The algorithms are in full swing here and Luce keeps popping up every time. I’m now going to watch your initial review next. I love the Luce and can’t wait to drive it.

Hi Pete, I felt compelled to leave a comment after watching this video. I've been following your channel for a long time now, and I wanted to say how much I appreciate what you do. Over the last few years your reviews have genuinely helped shape some of my own car-buying decisions because I've always found them to be thoughtful, balanced, honest and relatable. What stands out to me is that you never seem to review cars with an agenda. You simply share your experience and your opinion, which is exactly what a reviewer should do. People don't always have to agree with your conclusions, but that's very different from questioning your integrity or motives. Watching this video, it was clear how much you care about your audience, your reputation and the quality of the content you produce. That's one of the reasons so many of us keep coming back. The passion, effort and authenticity you bring to the channel are obvious. For every negative voice, there are many more people like me who genuinely value your work, trust your judgement and appreciate the huge amount of time and energy that goes into creating these videos. Please don't lose sight of the positive impact you've had on your audience over the years. The channel has educated, entertained and helped many people make informed decisions, myself included. I appreciate that some of the comments went beyond what is acceptable, but perhaps seperately you could look at the way you handled the whole situation. Maybe given what you were asked to do by the company that I presume paid for at least part of your trip, and the way they were forcing you to report, you should have perhaps taken a step back and said that you wanted no part of that. Instead you, along with all the others, went along with Ferraris control game, when I presume you could have just taken a step back, not accepted the situation, and then been more free to give your honest review of the car, which I'm sure is what most of your viewers would have preferred.

Sorry, there's just no way around it; you seem to have held back on what you actually felt about this disaster of a car for some reason. It's only natural to assume that the reason is that you were actually flown in on Ferrari's dime. Feeling pressure to make a positive review in that setting is perfectly understandable, but if your actual feelings about the car were different from what you said in your launch video, you didn't stand by your principles. And when you betray your principles, you are lost.

No issue with your video, you explained the tech and the principles, then it's for people to decide if they like the product or not. Clearly, the majority of car enthusiast dislike that thing, which doesn't and shouldn't mean they need to make leaps to tie you and your channel to that. I enjoyed the video while deeply disliking the car.

The Luce comes across as a real mixed bag. The interior is a good attempt at trying to wrestle the industry away from ever larger screens with multi-layered menus and no 'proper' buttons to simplify/ make more safe, the act of driving. The technology in the electric motors/ drivetrain/ suspension sounds fascinating. The design of the bodywork is a complete turn off for Ferrari fans. I do wonder if that last element was in any way deliberate. Ferrari presumably was obliged for compliance reasons to produce an EV, to allow it to continue with ICE/ hybrid production. Combining such a high price point with such a mediocre design may be a mechanism to reduce the overall cost of production - it was never going to be a popular car as an EV - this combo ensures it will never sell in significant quantities. All in all a wonderful technological showcase wrapped up in a dreadful aesthetic design.

Who gives a damn about the cutting edge technology in this car if it's slower and heavier than almost everything else in the market?

I just wish that those going to view the car launches could be honest and when a car is a piece of shit, just say so. The problem is that you could stick a Ferrari badge on a wheelie bin and the reviewers would say that it was innovative or some such nonsense. Niki Lauda had the right attitude and after driving the Ferrari F1 car for the first time told Enzo Ferrari to his FACE "your car is a piece of shit". And he wasn't wrong as he was allowed to make changes, after which the car was dramatically improved.

Ped, despite agreeing with much of what you say in this video, I’m afraid that you come across as thin skinned and defensive, surprising attributes for someone who places themself in the public domain. Calling people bellends who make comments you disagree with isn’t really acceptable especially as their views are generating your income.

The car is awful and Ferrari should be ashamed.

Great video Pete - keep doing what you’re doing. The people going ballistic over this car really need some bigger things to worry about in their lives (but they are probably 12 year old boys, so it’s understandable.) Autocar’s Matt Prior says he was shown a scale design model of an early Luce exterior that looked far sleeker and lower than the final product, the implication being that the production car was fettled with by engineers for aero/packaging reasons. Did you see this during the technical presentations?

Pete, just watched the video. Nice background story. Question, those 30 mins you had with the car. Was that the first time you actually saw it, or were you lingering about for a while before recording, thus being able to form an opinion off camera?

Cmmon man, takes 10 seconds to realise its a terrible BYD copy and not a Ferrari…
