To answer your question.. yes, I have accidentally shot. One little tiny minnow while hunting Lionfish but that’s it! I’ve saved many more minnows in the process, though!! #invasivelionfish #lionfishextermination #lionfish

I wonder if the native fish are starting to associate divers as lionfish predators, the rest don't seem that panicked around you in this video.

On Tiktok, I saw some animal abuse videos of invasive fish, it's nice to have videos of someone just hunting them to try to help the ecosystem

Speaking of questions. I've heard that nearly all Lionfish in Florida are sourced from like 17 or so that were either dumped or escaped during a hurricane. How do they avoid issues with inbreeding and genetic degradation?

I once found a balloon in a salt mash in Hilton Head, SC it had a note on it that said it had been released by a fourth grade class in Tennessee. The note asked to send them a letter letting them know where the balloon was found. I sent them a letter and said the ballon was removed from a dead sea turtle that had choked on it.

It’s sad these beautiful fish are so invasive, but I’m glad you’re helping the natural environment
