That horse got so many treats and scratchies for being such an amazing actor. It got right back up when the director said "cut" and was immediately told what a good horse it is. These are the things I have to tell myself to keep from being sad about animals dying in TV shows.

I was hired to do a job. It was to put animals down. I won't say where. It was for a rescue agency. I thought I could do it. After the first three dogs I put down, I was always unhappy, I would get sad out of nowhere, then when I had to put down a goat, I couldn't do it. The eyes looked at me, and I just felt like this animal needed help, not a needle. They gave the goat to me, and I raised it back into a healthy goat. He has a limp, but no pain, and I don't regret anything. Lost my job, but it was worth it. My soul was hurting, and Lilly saved it. Lilly is my goat. Lol she had so much life and love left to.give. And she has that chance with me now

My father asked me one time why I didn't choose to become a veterinarian, seeing as how I was so good with animals. I told him Vets are often called upon to kill animals, particularly when someone can't pay for the things needed to save the animal. He just changed the subject. I still don't know if he thought I was being stupid.

All volunteers that served as helicopter gunship pilots during the Vietnam War, flying both the Bell UH-1B and UH-1M Huey, flew over 120,000 sorties over Southern Vietnam and Cambodia. 44 KIA and 200 wounded over 5 years
