Racing was due to get underway at the 2026 Isle of Man TT but unfortunately with low cloud covering parts of the TT Course and conditions preventing the medical helicopter from operating safely, Race Day One was postponed. While disappointing for riders and fans alike, decisions like these reflect the judgement and responsibility that underpin every session on the Mountain Course. In today's Daily Round Up we look ahead to the revised schedule, and catch up with five-time TT winner Dean Harrison. Harrison is one of the standout performers throughout qualifying week, setting the pace on both his 1000cc machines. He talks through his approach, the thinking behind his closely matched Superbike and Superstock packages, and why consistency and rider confidence remain key over six laps of the TT Course. Dean also reflects on his journey from motorcycle mechanic to TT winner, his training and what it takes to compete at the highest level of road racing. With the forecast currently looking favourable, attention now turns to the opening six-lap RST Superbike Race. What are your predictions for Race Day? What a cracking bloke, Dean is. So down to earth and chilled. Incredible that he has such a mental job yet remains chilled. Good Luck, Dean.
Yooo give the videography and editors a raise coz the way they raised the bar on the quality is absolutely peak
Top bloke, one of life's good souls. How could you not like Dean Harrison? I pray he and all stay safe throughout. 😉👍
My dream to move from Liverpool to iom and be alone in my little house fixing my 2 strokes in the shed……..
Great interview Dean's a great rider and his time at the very top has come. God keep 🙏 Dean safe. Good luck Dean
Great attitude good luck to ya Mr D Harrison Cheers Lads great show 👍
Kudos to Deano telling HRC exactly what he wanted and saving them a few bob at the same time…..😂
Dean has an old world charm that is a pleasure to witness. May he blessed with God's hand of safety.
Loving the story behind Dean's Superbike. Riding well is quite often about the contentment with the machine. Best wishes Deano.
"Nout bothers you, does it?" That sums it all up. He's just there to ride and he doesn't worry about any of it. No wonder he's quick.
And that is why Deano has been my favourite in the paddock, along with the General, for years! All Yorkshire art we!
Dean has an amazing outlook on life.
Dean on a near stock Honda beating riders on $100k machines is a whole other level of flex...
Great show lads. What is really noticeable is that all the riders (along with Chris, Tom and Mike) are brilliant to watch and listen to. The TT is, by far, the best sporting event on the planet. Thanks to you all for giving us this every year.
Great interview
Dean seems a great lad. As much as I would love to see MD win on a bigger bike this week I think Dean is going to win all of them unless he has any bike issues. He is a total flying machine on the big bikes and looks so comfortable.
Rain Rain go away!
Truly a belter of a lad, absolutely 💯 % down to earth and a world class road racer, met him and his dad at Belown circuit Southern 100 2014 and I've followed him since, hope he has a good week 2026 TT
Great interview and round up
