I've been using plugs since the early 2000's and never had one fail or even heard of it happening.

Pulling a nail out to replace with a screw!

this seems better as a roadside repair than anything... just long enough to get you somewhere for a proper repair.

I used these silicone screws and the tyre leaked. The plugs did the job better

Perfect. Pull out one screw and drive in another. You still have a screw in the tire. Never had a problem with plugs.

I was a tyre fitter in the 90s in the UK. We used patches that had a long rubber tail coming from the center of the patch. It acted as a plug in the hole.

How do you know if you picked up another screen or if it's the plug?

"You're going to get 60 in the mail" --- Well, after 60 nails puncturing my tire, I think it's just about time to get a new tire

Yeah, you'll forget in a few days then when you'll check the tires again you'll think that it happened againπ
Plugs work fine and were used in the 80's 90's 2000's and patch plugs in the shops after that and still tire plugs at home.
Good luck trying to explain that to the DOT officer ππ
great idea however take that to another shop and they are going to assume those screws need to come out :)
So the next time you get your oil changed, the tech pulls it out thinking it's a road screw. Brilliant.
