Do you cover commercial displays at all? I’m about ready to spend the extra on a commercial display, and sidestep all the apps I don’t want and the spying I certainly don’t need. You didn’t mention if the C6 repeatedly nags you to sign up later. If it’s doing that once a day or once a week, I’m also not interested.
At least LG inform you about the data they are stealing. Other brands do the same, they just don't ask your permission
Who’s using the built in smart apps anyway? If you’re paying premium for an OLED, you definitely are gonna be getting an Apple TV and a Blu-ray player to go with it. I wish TVs had the option to be “dumb” again and just give me an input list
C version should be without smart tv functionality just let us use our apple tv box for this .
yikes, beside that t&c stuff that green line in the bottom seems to be some anomaly of the panel in your particular TV. I really hope this is not supposed to be normal. It would trigger me so bad.
Filmmaker mode is for a dark room... change the mode if you want more nits in a bright room...
I've owned an LG OLED for over a year now, I have not connected it to the internet at all. A TV does not need a privacy policy nor does it need my data, it simply needs to display what I want it to display and look the way I want it to look (to the best of it's ability). I implore everyone to do the same, as inconvenient as it may be. The more people agree to these shady and anti-consumer practices, the more it encourages LG and other companies to start squeezing down on us. We are not the product, we are the reason these companies exist. Let them know.
I wonder if LG forces the same Terms of Service on the user in GDPR countries.
Do does it have the blue/green tint of the C5?
The real upgrade is the C6H (77” and up) which has similar brightness to the G5 making all the difference. Completely different panel technology and also has better reflection capabilities. The regular C6 isn’t much different than the C5, it’s still a W OLED panel.
I'm currently using an LG LED TV and planning to upgrade to C6. WebOS is pretty slow so I'll just continue to use my Apple TV for streaming media.
I wish they would sell DUMB TVs.
Just bought a C5. Not the same t&c problem, this is unacceptable and everyone should bring this up in their reviews. Why would buying a TV force me to sell my firstborn, I want to watch movies and play games.

I have a 65" G5 I bought on black friday for $2000, which is still the current price. I don't see why you would buy a C6 over the G5 right now. It's a great panel for 4k blueray movies.
Think the C5 required this too. You had to agree to some of the options.
