how do travel videos work continutiy-wise? do you do everything in stages, or do you do it all together and need to edit it afterwards to tell a better "story"?

you'd think something that important would have the overcharge protection chip. Most electronics now have one that shuts off the charge when it reaches full
Coincidentally, just a few days ago, a friend mentioned they had a similar issue with the same power bank! Thankfully it didn't fry any of their electronics, but the "handle" cord started falling apart.

From a technical perspective, how would the Anker charger damage the laptop? The laptop negotiates the PD voltage so it shouldn't be an overvoltage situation. I wonder if the individual wire insulation within the cable broke and the full 20/28V went to a USB data line.
I'm very sorry for your troubles, that's a lot of bad luck indeed! I appreciate how you care for the quality of your videos, for the continuity and for your audience's expectations. I wouldn't mind if you skipped a video due to unforeseen circumstances, but I understand how it's unacceptable for you. Glad you have friends that are able to help you in these troubles. Having built-in cables was an error in judgment, going on to have them double up as carry handles was catastrophically stupid! 🤦🏻♂️

Reminds me about HP original charger that started welding the cord from the DC side. Could have burned the house down, if left for the groceries 5 minutes earlier. It stopped only by removing the charger from the wall socket.
