I built the impossible tank - a beach lagoon complete with rocky and sandy shore, waves, changing tides, tidepools, mangroves, and more. It's part of a complex project to create the ultimate lagoon ecosystem vivarium, which will house brackish-loving animals like mudskippers, crabs, and bamboo sharks. This sit the moment I realized that we had created a real beach in my home. In the end, I reveal which creature will be the first to be introduced to the lagoon. Can't wait for the snow capped mountains vivarium...
AC Family, we have our own beach! Thank you for watching! Now *VOTE* by hitting *THUMBS UP* for the name suggestion you choose below:
We definitely need more than 17mins of this.
"Hello AC family! We have a new project. its a 1:1 recreation of the observable universe!"
Lumantia roles off the tongue perfect.
With that lagoon tank you could be of a handful off people in the world who can successfully breed land hermit crabs 😮
Definitely Saltantia
you ever think maybe these videos are released years after they were made and he progressed so quickly that we are all in one of his vivariums?
Hmm... Antlantis? 🐜
I love Saltantia!
Now all he needs is sharks with frickin' laser beams.
Can’t wait for the Kepler-452b habitat
While 'Lumantia' is easier to say, the sheer awe and beauty of this vivarium that you so perfectly describe through your narration makes me personally believe that 'Luminantia' is a deserved name for being more elegant and worth the "extra" effort that is needed to pronnounce it!
Saltantia
I am speechless. This is the most optimistic, extraordinary project I have ever witnessed. Stunning.
This channel is the gift that keeps on giving!! I like the "LUMINANTIA" name. It sounds more poetic to me, and it "feels" like it follows the theme of the other vivariums. Just my humble opinion.
Lumantia!!!!! <3 <3 Amazing build as always!
This has to be one of the coolest channels on youtube.
As a reef keeper who specializes in keeping ecosystems, I think that it is imperative to include a plankton chamber for your ecosystem. Basically, almost every single oceanic organism uses broadcast spawning, which is similar to how spores for plants work. In the ocean, these are taken out into the sea where they grow and develop, however, in a typical reef tank the water will simply recirculate over rocks which will be absolutely covered in filter feeders, meaning the offspring of most creatures are guaranteed to be eaten before they develop. This is where the plankton chamber comes in; you would need a constantly circulating circular container with sides that prevent other filter feeders from taking root. The intake of water should be much larger than the output, and also have a screen, to allow plankton to be captured and develop without being eaten by filter feeders. Without this, it is safe to say that a true ecosystem would be impossible to be achieved.
