Liverpool's performances had that familiar look of a team that did not believe in their manager.
_Salah's final assist to Liverpool was getting Slot sacked._ - Someone Wise.
Slots style of play didn’t suit the Liverpool way. We don’t want to be a poor man’s Man City.
Jurgen Klopp famously said..it's not how you arrive but how you leave...and Jurgen set up and Slot demolished
Salah was gone for AFCON and then injured, and Liverpool still looked terrible. Blaming Salah excuses Slot from being terrible.
Salah was right. Liverpool cannot play such drab, side-footed, backwards passing football
So many pundits backtracking on their opinions now 😂
Steve Nichol should also take an exit as pundit. He has been disgrace for proper Liverpool fans.
Just shows you these ex players havent a clue
7:45 what a load of nonsense from Robson 😂 and shouting won’t make you right Liverpool extending Salah and VVD was *not* their biggest mistake in the summer. Their biggest mistake was letting that squad be tossed around with outgoings, leaving it threadbare and without adequate reinforcement at CB so much so that now, a year later, about 70% of the title winning side is changed and/or leaving
Mo Salah's greatest assist was off the pitch, Ironically.
it’s quite simple: this rot at Liverpool has been going on long before this season started and at no point this season did he show a tangible improvement and something hopeful enough for the fans to believe in going into next season. he broke so many negative records it’s hard to count, the loudest of which is a 20+ loss season. that is inexcusable. it was time to go. you will be remembered Arne
Slot lost the dressing room and the fans. The constant gaslighting, down talking his club, playing players out of position, excuses, and lacklustre style all contributed. Iraola is one of the hottest prospects in European football. Can’t wait to see him at Liverpool
Not one pundit said that the team was so poorly coached. Signings, benching decisions, Salah and vvd declines these are all excuses papering over the main issue that Slot was out of his depth.
😮😮😮😮 Now this is what we call a deal.
Look how Slot was starting to present himself. He started looking quite disinterested, with his hands in his pockets. Also his constant praising of opposition teams post-match, giving away tactical hints and tips, and all while throwing his own players under the bus. Then his lacklustre attitude was also, apparently, reflected in the teams training and lack of intensity- it was a reflection of Slot. He liked his holidays, to see his family who were not in Liverpool- so maybe there was a family thing to it aswell.
Playing Salah further out wide and changing what had been so successful up front was big issue. If its successful fair wnough bit it wasnt HOWEVER it was his treatment of squad players, players like Morton that made jim unpopular within the club. His man management of a bigger squad and Academy was lacking, aling with his desire to move away from what had been so successful. Salahs heat map shows the difference in what was being asked. Slotts interviews and press conferences were another huge failure. Theres a reason so many players were desperate to leave club this summer!
Dan Thomas' question regarding Luis Enrique benching his main player vs Slot benching Salah has one correct answer: Enrique got results, while Slot didn't.
Guys you gotta stop talking to these general knowledge historical former players and managers. Jurgen Klinsmann is a great of the game but its embarrassing listening to him speak on Liverpool, he obviously has no idea what went down in Liverpool this season.
On Alonso, the board's decision was primarily about the job title - 'Head Coach'. Alonso was looking for a position which allowed more involvement in transfers, academy and club structure; whiles the liverpool board wanted just 'first team coach' (Head coach).
