Both 7s and 15s rugby is sick in NZ. NZR should do something about this. Feel sorry for coach Tomasi Cama as he doesn't have liberty to choose best specialist 7s players. Many years now there hasn't been a major 7s tournament in NZ. In Fiji 7s is almost all year around with dozens of major tournaments and village competitions. IRB should answer why empty stadiums at host country.Tournament held where football is major sport in a country . Two big powerhouse of sevens AB and Fiji and there isn't a single 7s series tournament. Imagine if Fiji and NZ pulls out of 7s tournaments. IRB needs to wake up.
