I like that they made the wife a hero too! That is usually not the case with the dead wife Trope, but it makes a lot of sense with the divorced wife.

I pretty sure there a trope where hero and/or villain got a divorce, their partner become the new hero and/or villain to them... they keep messing their ex not out of "pay attention to me" but more on "i goint to mess you up just for fun of it...."
