my spouse went on a primarily plant-based diet about two years ago: a surprise result was that his PSA numbers (for the prostate) went plummeting down. He no longer takes in any dairy and only occasionally eats meat.
When I became a vegan for the animals, I lost 144lbs, off all 13 medications and am no longer diabetic after just two years, at age 66. Havent been this healthy in 25 years, no exercise due to a disability.

Reading the comments here about all the people who who have gone carnivore and feel good physically. As a vegetarian, + milk products and eggs, I tried to follow the Atkins diet to lose weight. I lost weight and I did feel well, for a while. Then I got a massive depression, suicidal tendencies and my joints ached. Now I'm a vegan (plant based, whole foods etc) and I'm finally off my anti-depression medication. When I was told what happens to dairy cows and their calves, I didn't believe it at first. Who could do something like that? It took me five years to understand that it's true. NOTHING excuses cruelty. You just have to find another way. To stop eating refined carbs did the trick for me.
Wow! I knew this before, but it needs to be repeated over and over again until people start to listen. As always, I cried when the showed the pictures of the animals. My beloved fellow beings on this earth, my siblings, how is such cruelty possible? Please, let this film be a wake-up call for many - I'll certainly ty to make it so!
One of our biggest problems is overly processed foods. We didn't have a lot of these health issues until we started consuming a lot of seed oils in the 1970s and 80s, with some of those oils coming from GMO seed that was doused with herbicide either for "larger yields" or for desiccation before harvest. I agree that there are segments of the population that do better on plants and some that do better on meats. I personally think that it may have more to do with where our ancestors are from and what was available to them. For my family, it was meat and potatoes with vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

I was 35 years old when I heard that milk may be an aggressive food for my body. I suffered for 35 years of digestion problems, colds, soarthroats, colitis, and more.
