Met Chris on the morning of this barnfind at chorley halfords where I sold him that battery and heard the micras story. I hear alot of car stories in my job but was extra thrilled to hear that jonney was involved and now to see it in the metal, would love for Chris to bring it in and show us when its up and running.
Wow , this is a blast from the past , certainly mine, Jonny. I took my very first driving lessons in a K10 Micra 1992/93 I also remember my driving instructor having the car bailiffs repossessing it , whilst i was on an actual driving lesson !! 😅😅 A True story .
I think you have to do a series where you get in tuch with all cars you been to and see if anything has happend and what.!!
"Rarely" drove for a year in 1989 and then only for one summer mid 2000s... 49,000 miles!? That's an insane amount of mileage for 1 year

What a great garage rescue. I am a car guy but these episodes are much more about the previous owners and their family’s story. The call up paperwork and the photo really do give this episode heart. It’s nice to see a loving family dealing with life’s troubles but doing best by their gran/mother. This is why cars mean so much to so many folks. Thank you.
I learnt to drive and passed my test in one of these. The driving instructor’s favourite car back in the day 👌👌
In 1967 my Grandmother purchased a brand new Cadillac. She didn’t drive but when she wanted to go somewhere she would “volunteer” one of the family to chauffeur her about town. The car didn’t get used much and in 1986 went into the garage as she had passed. In 1999 I was able to convince my uncle (her executor) to sell me the car as I felt it was important to keep it in the family. It had 36,000 miles on the clock and took about a year to get it ready for state inspection (MOT for our British cousins). I still have the car and drive it every summer. Everything on it works save the dashboard clock (which truth be known never worked right from the factory as I recall). Great episode! Now I have to go take the Caddy out for a cruise!

What I like about this barnfinds. Is that you are truly happy no matter what kind of car you find. It does'nt have to be rare or expensive, but just a totally normal Micra. :)

My mum had one of these in the early 90s, she used it as our daily driver as well as for her job as a driving instructor. Absolutely bulletproof, I'd love one myself.

Such a humble little car...then stick it away for twenty years and suddenly it becomes so interesting! I hope Chris gets it back on the road soon. 😊
I love the fact that these mass produced boringmobiles which used to be EVERYWHERE have finally become interesting now that they're almost non existent. Seeing cars like this takes you back to a much better time, even though they're the equivalent of a middle aged bank manager wearing a beige suit..
