I'm more impressed how you manage to look like an entirely different person in every video
Genuinely surprised Paquerette doesn't have more reviews. It's just as good as baba is you or void strangers.
Copy Kitty looks like it's got the the bones of Kirby and the Crystal Shards power combining system, and I've been looking for a game to scratch that itch for over a decade at this point. thank you for this video and revealing this treasure to me 🙏
16:49 [slow clap] very well. you win this round
_looks at thumbnail_ YES! YESSS! Anyway, this video show barely anything when it comes to the boss battles of Copy Kitty, you have some downright epic stuff in there. It's a solid recommendation from me as well.
For the first time in my life, im not a month late to a upload!! Please inject Copy Kitty directly into my veins, i LOVE the y2k aesthetic and crazy fast paced platformers. Same with Queen of Treasure Isle, SO much charm in that one. Basically every other game you covered is a case of, "this looks much smarter then me and vastly outclasses the puzzles ive designed for games, so I'll respect from from afar but I'm too uneducated to play it yet" lol. Especially Bunburrows, my jaw dropped when you revealed the open world twist to it! I can tell you enjoy making these videos man. Even if there is a little bit of that "the algorithm likes this content therefore i will make more of it" to it like you've mentioned. It's very cozy and fun to hear about some truly under loved titles that have a lot of heart in them, your exictement and fascination shows and spreads to us most definitely. That reference to Jonathan Blow and XBLA at the start was made specifically for me and made me cackle, thank you.
You’re so real for that “comprised of” take, rage against the machine!!!!
i bought 5 games after this video, thank you, you're awesome
Sol cesto is a beautiful piece of work. I got it last night after being on the fence about buying. It's so clever and chill and atmospheric.
Awesome video man! Really funny stuff while delivering some great game recommendations!
Liking that Dicey Dungeon music playing during copy kitty
Sol Cesto was a surprise hit for me. Art style and juice and atmosphere is great. It is also very finely balanced despite the randomness:game knowledge and metaprogress gives just enough agency to manipulate the odds by smarter play. The first playthrough (not just finding the sun, but doing it with the weakest character), took me 13h. After a full reset, I could beat it in under 4h in just 7 runs, when 5 runs is the minimum, so only 2 death. This shows how much understanding the game helps.
Your Dwelling under the bridge must be a mansion, cause that was royal tier trolling. Well played.
Dude you are the best sub I've found in years
I like your funny words funny man. Nice reviews and lovely recommendations, added a bunch to my wishlist. Have a new subscriber :)
You convinced me to buy Arcos with a past game video. So thank you.
coming back to this video after going to the steam page of Queen of treasure Isle only to find it's fucking gobou behind it, i knew i recognized that art style. how I've not heard of it before this i do not know, but thank you for another fantastic discovery mr. gammelier
You did not just compare the art style of Sol Cesto to Pendleton Ward, and just not mention the more clear inspiration that is FELIX COLGRAVE
3:28 Ngl, this is a rare case where I wish the game was in literally any other genre. The artstyle is so gorgeous, but the gameplay looks so dull. But I understand, if it was made in p&c adventure genre, no one would care to play it, but still sucks this artstyle is wasted on, another meh roguelike gameplay
Dude, THE gobou made a game and I haven't heard jack about it. You know why? The bastard is not promoting it on their own channel! Dude has a 200k subscriber channel and the whole yume nikki community behind his back, literally a single video would tripple the player count. My only guess is that they don't want too much attention on an unfinished project.
