This is a video explaining the speedrun world record in the original Resident Evil (1996) in 38:04 performed by the player Hamo in May of 2021. Hope you enjoy Special thanks to zweek and rudhira for teaching me the basics of Blender so I could add a custom PS1 Jill model to the thumbnail. No AI was used in the making of this video. 4:53 “This is considered the hardest zombie dodge in the whole run.” Yeah, I can understand why this one is the hardest, oh boy. I really enjoyed this video though, it’s so well made. Looking forward to seeing Resident Evil 2 this October.
Amazing video on a runner i've had the pleasure of sharing convo's with. Hamo the goat <3
Phenomenal video! I've known a lot of the tricks to this game for a long time now, but there's still a ton I learned here, and it's just fascinating to see them explained in real time like this. I love this game, and it's so cool to learn more about it. This Hamo guy seems incredible, like my god that's such amazing movement! P.S. Really appreciate the disclaimer about not using AI in the description. Good on ya.
Nice presentation! I appreciate the side panel and concise narration.
Nicely explained. I always enjoy a chance to recite the voice acting permanently seared into my mind. Easy sub from me! The battery pickup and immediate use is probably to ensure that an item slot is left open for the flare or rocket launcher.
*Lovely video! Love these breakdowns*
Great at the end how you saved the next video in case you didn't do Silent Kill 4. Amazing video too I totally subbed
This was a really fun watch. Shout out to Hamo for working with you to create this video!
Not only do I want to see you cover Resident Evil 2, I also would like to see you cover Resident Evil 2.
Any horror game speedrun is made infinitely funnier by imagining the character saying "I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE" at the start
Awesome video. I stuck this on so I could mentally deal with getting Chris' set of achievements on RetroAchievements, and it was perfect.
Totally forgot about this channel, loved your Spyro speedrun explained video! I would love see you explain all the resident evil speedruns in chronological order!
Peak voice acting
Went from watching another YouTuber's playthrough of the latest RE game to being recommended your latest video (CTR) to checking out your channel and watching this. I grew up with this game, had no idea the terrible English voice acting was an intentional part of the original game or that you could complete the game without the final boss fight. Wesker in the latest game being completely inline with his original portrayal was also fun to realise. The perfect explanations, raw footage and good information on the screen throughout just made it even better.
Crazy how we went from this to Requiem 😂
Wesker shooting at the bees will always be the weirdest thing.
My absolute favorite RE1 line has always been, and will always be, Enrico's "Yeah." He says it like he just broke a window and is embarrassed to admit it. Like he just farted and is reluctantly admitting it was him. He's like, "... Yeah?"
New fan here: this video meant a lot to me, resident evil 1 was my childhood and watching a speed run like this made my giddy :D ty for this!
Never knew how much I loved actually knowing what’s going on during speedruns, thanks for the hard work and great video!
I enjoyed this way more than I expected , quality content, thank you good sir #Subscribed
