Man, I remember rushing through the levels like that as a kid back in 1991 (especially those Star World tricks), but the concept of world record speedrunning never occurred to me. Nor did I know about about the cloud glitch, which is a relatively recent discovery. It's amazing how people are still finding new things in such an old game.
This game is definitely one of if not the best videos game ever made in my opinion. So much thought went into it. the fact that people are finding new way to beat this game in our day of age goes to show you how great this games was and is.
It's amazing how a skilled player with the cape just completely breaks this game.
