What's kind of crazy about this run is how he only got 1 gold split, atleast that I saw. The theoretical best could be faster, not to mention there may still be some sneaky skips waiting around to find.

Not only was it 59:59, it was only thirteen miliseconds away from being above one hour, that's absurd.
Crazy. It being that close means that literally everything he did mattered. Like if he doesn't get gate skip at the very beginning of the video he doesn't get sub-1 hour. And then if literally anything for the rest of the run is even slightly slower its just over. Wild.

I’ve been loosely keeping up with video game speed runs for the better part of the last decade, and I swear to god, every time someone says “this record won’t be beaten” or “it’s impossible” it never is lol. It’s always beaten
