Interesting thing about speed running SMB3 is you have no control over the hands that may grab you in world 8. If just one gets you, the run is over. Each hand has a 50% chance of grabbing you when you land on it, this means you only have a 12.5% chance of sliding by all three. Thus, basically 9 out of 10 attempts fail right there.
as a kid, for some reason, i always read it as "one toot on this flute" and i always thought that what Toad said until just a couple years ago when i started playing it again. its not that "childhood ruined" but its like when you find out the real lyric to a song that you have been singing wrong for years and years and you can't listen to the song the same again. thanks internet
