This episode was incredibly substantial, as per usual but I especially felt validated to hear from Lydia that people’s dating strategies work for them simply because they are being themselves🤏🏾 and also as an emotionally available woman I can’t begin to express the shame that we receive for being actively open and willing to express ourselves just cause others lack the capacity to do the same.

Actually Murugi, yk Biggie had tried to tell the wife to be kind, he had tried to tell the wife they get counseling but from a non religion therapist and she refused, he had said he wanted to leave but he wasn't allowed to, esp by church, so for him wanting to be caught by not locking the conversation with the side chick was his rock bottom. What i think we should stop listening to; If they wanted to they would (how many times have you wanted to do sth but didn’t) Sharing with your friends about your partner because they are your ‘girls’ and you want their input Not settling down whenever you want even it’s in your 20s bc “your 20s are for exploration” Posting what your significant other does for you on socials bc if you were truly loved you wouldn’t need to advertise it (controversial, but bring back privacy and safeguarding intimate moments)
That advice of 'PLAYING HEARD TO GET WILL MAKE THEM WANT TO GET YOU MORE' plus that one of 'IF YOU MAKE YOURSELF TOO AVAILABLE, THEY WON'T VALUE YOU' is very debatable. Naturally i am that person in all kinds of relationships be it family, friends and even with my romantic partner. And its something my man treasures, he says that he likes that i am too available and very flexible, in fact he makes my life easier so i can be too available. Bottom line, we need to understand our partners and also we need to be ourselves because someone out there will love us the way we are.
