fun fact: when i told kurt about my day and how chill gongju was he laughed because apparently thats a stereotype for people from chungcheongnam/buk-do (the province gongju is in). They're apparently known as calm, not quick to react, and laid back :') so when i told him about how they even drove so calmly and it was such a nice place to ride a bike he was like yeah...that tracks hahah

Seeing Gongju pop up in this video, I couldn't help but bring up some history. Gongju is a notable city as the capital of baekje as cari mentioned. And the importance of baekje and gaya is they are believed to be the origins of ancient japanese kingdom. There are actually significant amount of evidence the folks from those two countries crossed over korean strait and settled in jp. That's why lineage of the current japanese royal family is debated for long .

hi cari it may just be me, but the fish-eye camera for me can be kind of nauseating, especially for those of us who speed up your videos. just a note because your footage is always so soothing and artfully shot. I'm sorry and i hope this isn't coming across as rude or demanding, you can use whatever kind of camera and setting you like i just thought i'd share because there might be others watching who also get a bit queasy when it switches to the fish-eye camera
