We played this out on our patio because we didn't have many birds in our yard at the time. The sounds attracted the native birds and suddenly all the trees were filled with sound. They came because they heard the other "birds" in this recording and felt safe. Their beautiful songs make up for them coming after my summer fruit! I don't mind sharing it with them because they share their beauty with me.
I grew up and lived in Wisconsin until I was 28, and then I moved to Colorado. Colorado has lots of beauty, but for me, nothing will ever awaken my soul to God’s goodness and to beauty like the lush, green forests and grassy lanes I grew up with. We are playing this video to my beloved father as he takes his last breaths. He kayaked along the shorelines of Nova Scotia, Canada for 33 years, and was a keen birder.
