Courageous finnish divers. Hats off...
And they don't want to get paid... They're great People.. Thanks from Italy
Finnish divers you are amazing ❤
Look at that high tech gear the finnish team have and those others went down with rec gear. Lunacy.
Thanks Sami, Patrik and Jenni! You're world famous now. Wow!!
Well done to the divers and support team.
Too deep, wrong kit, wrong gas mix, very sad but preventable.
That GoPro footage is going to be horrific. Rest in peace all six souls. I hope many lessons are learned here. 🙏
I hate when people participate in risky activities that put rescue workers at risk trying to rescue or recover them when something goes wrong.
The best of the many reports on this.
So brave and courageous. I am sure their families are so thankful 🙏🙏🙏🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
The Finns knew what they were doing. And the Maldive government practically sent their whole navy out to make sure there were no further mishaps.
Courage.
The most experienced diver was found at the opening of the cave explains to me that something went wrong and he left everybody else but didn’t make it back
Thank you Finnish Professional Divers!!! ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They call it specialized equipment, not really you could say everything is specialized. As a diver you need to bring the right tools (equipment) depending on the type of diving your doing. A rebreather is a tool to do this type of technical deep diving in a more compressed less bulky configuration. You could do it on open circuit too but would require alot more tanks and expensive helium mixes. Everything in scuba diving has a purpose for certain tasks or dive plan.
Those Divers are THE BEST IN THE WORLD
Lesson to be learnt… don’t go cave diving
Incredible rescue divers. Superhuman.
Note the gear & all the prep prior to the dive...it was madness what those folks did...It was said the older lady dived here regularly...her luck ran out...this seems to confirm that the current was very strong & it pushed the 4 into the end of the last cave....note also the Finns came out & another dive had to be planned to get them out....the instructor almost made it out, but it appears he ran out of air, while the others were pushed back by the strong current...I read a post which the person said they dived the area in good weather conditions & low tide....which was not present in this case....
