Genius explanation of ethograms. We are doing a thesis about foal behavior and wants to develop a time budget and ethogram on foals being hospitalized with and without pain (sick foal or sick mare and healthy foal). We want to use the BORIS software. Would be awesome if you could do a guide on how to use an ethogram in boris and do statistics on the data :D Thank you for the walkthrough

How do you choose a statistical tool for further analysis? For instance for studying stress patterns , feeding behavior etc how do you get to know like should I choose annova, t-test etc

I’ve created and carried out my ethogram for a study but I need help with how to turn the ethogram into percentages of the amount of each behaviour seen in each animal!

Just came up with your video you asked why they eat grass well it can be one of two reason first as they cannot digest cellulose so they eat grass to regurgitate what can upset there stomach and second for cleaning their teeth if some kind of plague depositions is there as they prick the grass between there teeth.
