Something I don't think is appreciated enough about this mod is just how helpful the hints are. Like, you can actually deduce what you need to do from them, and you don't have to look up a walkthrough to complete the puzzles.

It’s so interesting because if you go back and watch the old trailers and promotion videos for Hello Neighbour alpha 2 whenever the main character would enter the basement you could hear the screams and cries of a mother and her children like the developers originally intended The Neighbour to straight up kidnap entire families and hold them hostage in his basement
