You are indeed very blessed to have the space to grow all these lovely fruits on your land. ❤

You're so right. Thank you for speaking out. I have a very, very small backyard but 3 yrs. ago I setup raised beds in the space - tomatoes, lettuces, bell peppers, swiss chard, beets carrots (1 yr.). Am adding potatoes this year (in 32-gal. trash cans). Just planted Persian cucumbers in a planter. Gardening is more than sustanence & the joy of watching things grow, it's my therapy.😊 Luckily there's lots of sunshine where I live, but drought has been our problem. Last year one of my heirloom tomato plants just quit growing though it had 2 dozen green tomatoes on it that looked good. We had some very cold rain that stopped it. Climate change is real no matter what the deniers say. And now we have a war that is going to impact food supplies (along with other things) b4 the year is over and in 2027. How stupid is that!

You are right to encourage people to grow a garden. I am already planning a winter garden. Don’t forget to learn how to sprout seeds. You can have nutritious greens every day.

Wow, what a beautiful lady. Beautiful and smart and sweet. Listening to her, even though it’s a difficult subject to embrace, made my heart feel peaceful and satisfied somehow. God is good. We just need to listen and pay attention. To what’s going on around us, but also to people like her that are knowledgeable and experienced and sharing that with us. 🙏🏼

Hon, if I may call you hon, as a woman who has been in the green industry for 30 years ( not climate change green) but the plant and tree industry there is a newer system for watering. It’s called “ tech line”. The irrigation done underground rather than just an above ground drip system. The tech line has the emitters inside of the tubing. It’s placed under the soil at the plant or tree roots, then covered with soil and mulch. There is absolutely no water waste. We have been using it and it’s saved money on water and plant replacement. We can choose emitter spacing 6” apart on up to specific water needs. The line is used in a circular pattern secured with 4” landscape staples pushed gently onto the tech line. It’s an initial investment but the cost is minimal compared to water loss and plant or tree loss. I’m not a sales rep just someone who has experienced drought , overhead water loss issues and freezing temps that can destroy entire water systems. Blessings!

THANK YOU! Wise & encouraging counsel with simple, practical & doable advise…a little here and there can build a well stocked supply. If it seems overwhelming, start by adding an extra can/package or 2 of what you normally buy for non- perishables & canned goods. Check expiration dates. Build up about a 1-2 month supply and keep going from there. If storage is minimal, shoot for maintaining a 1-month supply, and then rotate/replenish as you purchase and use…

It’s great to hear so many same-mindset who have ears to hear and eyes to see. Praise the Lord. I’m 71yo woman who lives alone in town and have a good size garden in my backyard. I grow variety to can and dehydrate. Garlic is waste high. When harvested I plant large area of green beans to can and then in fall more garlic. It’s doable. Peach trees in Ohio 90% froze. Getting peaches to can from GA. Heavily stocking up on protein long-shelf items.

You are correct! We are coming out of El Nina which is why the winter was severe. We are heading into El Nino which means very dry for the remainder of the year into 2027. There are going to be a lot of shortages because of the severity of these weather systems. Plant as much as you can and stock up is the best advice!

THANK YOU for sharing FACTS! The weather has been insane! Too much water and not enough, at the wrong times, still kills everything. The same with heat and cold. The weather has been way off since 2019! "Winter is Coming."
