Happy for you! Interior designer & furniture designer here (: Soho home is the best for pieces with character. But if you want unique pieces, source things yourself at vintage shops and fairs. Elementi shop is a good spot in Pasadena. There are quite a lot of shops in the Pasadena area. If you’re willing to venture up to NorCal, alameda flea market is massive and lovely to find amazing vintage pieces. Rosebowl is good too.
