Portal 2 speedrunners are smart, but not as smart as you might think. As one of the simplest speedrun discoveries in the game was hiding in plain sight for just about 7 years. ►Twitch: https://twitch.tv/Msushi ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/Msushi_ ►Second Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MsushiRuns Music used (in order): Celeste OST - Checking In Quantum Conundrum OST - Spring Is In The Air Dustforce OST - Frozen Hot Sauce Skullgirls OST - Pick Of The Litter VA-11 Hall-A OST - Out of Orbit Super Monkey Ball OST - Monkey Mall Ducktales (NES) - The Moon Theme Thanks to BaileyP2SR and MilkyFrenchToast for helping with the video creation process. You spent more time explaining the history of Fizzler Intro speedrun world records than you actually spent holding the world record.
If you ever feel dumb, remember mario odyssey speedrunners didn't know you could sprint as 2d bowser for like a year
Can someone please imagine a parking lot already, I have nowhere to send this large quantity of buses
"Just imagine a bus. You get it now." We love bus analogy
it took seven years for people to remember what glados said in slow motion
11:45 "just imagine a bus." Of course fucking bus analogy. You literally predicted this at AGDQ
Portal 2 speedrunners discovering the most unintuitive glitches ever: Portal 2 speedrunners solving simple puzzles in a game that they already played for 10 years:
Wait... you can DO THAT??
The aimlabs map at 5:53 is such a good visual gag lol
This reminds me of the teleporter room early skip in TTYD. For a long time, people had been doing very precise tricks to get to the end of chapter 7 early by glitching out a separate door entry to get out of bounds and maneuver to the other side of a locked door almost blind. Many years later, it was discovered there was a gap in the locked door’s geometry and we could have literally walked into the teleporter room as soon as chapter one the whole time.
it’s always a good day when msushi uploads
"imagine a bus" oh god... SMB1 flashbacks xD
Whoever in the Portal 2 dev team put those constructing panels there must be feeling pretty vindicated now. Wild that this chamber where you shoot portals through the wall and through the floor beneath the fizzler is 100% glitch-free gameplay.
This is for sure one of my favorite route improvements of all time. The way everyone was in shock that we missed route this for so long, and the way everyone scrambled to PB with the new route was one of the most fun moments of that year. It's an excellent example of why speedrunning is worth doing. Great video!
that "just shooting through the f?$*king floor" was delivered in such a funny way i love it
2:32 missed opportunity to say he demonstrated it
bananasaurus rex is a name i havent heard in a long time holy shit
Great vid, I honestly love these types of "boring" ultra optimized levels. I personally get a kick out of squeezing every 0.01 out that I can, glad you covered this type of level and it's crazy that this wasn't found earlier haha
9:30 May 25th 2018 was the first day I got Portal 2 on my birthday, fun to find out this was happening while i played my favourite game for the first time lol
I didn't think I'd see the 21 frame rule appear in a freaking portal video, but here we are lol also, my favorite line in this video was: "Around this time in portal 2 history, we were discovering prop physics abuse that allowed us to turn defective turrets into flying machines, and elaborate out of bounds skips by using light bridges to clip us through walls, but the true innovation all this time was shooting through the f*cking floor in fizzler intro." XD
