I believe the college requires avalanche protection because it is situated right next to the mountain, which poses a risk of snow slides, especially during heavy snowfall. Additionally, the trail leading through the area should be clearly marked with signs and equipped with trash receptacles to promote safety and cleanliness. Furthermore, I think it is necessary to reinforce the riverbank to prevent erosion caused by heavy weather or rising water levels, thereby protecting the surrounding environment.
The college library needs an access road for delivery and maintenance vehicles.
Loved the new intro and the block with the library and food court, to combine it like that feels great! I like the upgrade to education but please, run public transport with both buses and trams to the high school, college, and university. You put the 15 minute city as a key component of the city, but the college and university are incredibly far away from everything, so adding public transport will bring education closer to the rest of the city, and new public transport stops will be future growth and anchor points for development. Loving the series, keep it coming!
So for the high schools I think there is definitely a mix between having a lot of sports facilities and not, leaning more towards not having dedicated ones for the school. There are some like my old high school Ernest Manning in Calgary AB that had its own football field which was beside Rundle College (a private high school) which also had their own field but then you had Crescent Heights and Saint Mary's in Calgary which don't have their own dedicated fields. What often happens here in Canada is big park spaces that are open to the public are used by highschool students or dedicated sports parks (look at Shouldice Athletic Park in Calgary) are built for all types of competitions between the high schools

I loved this episode! Been wanting to see a university for a while and you've got a new intro for the build! Aside from needing some public transport heading for the new areas, I think the next thing to focus on is tackling the massive demand for commercial and more houses too since that demand never seems to go away atm. Maybe that could be part of the big tourism project!
I sat in on the livestream and I heard alot of your thoughts concerning some of the more time-expensive “flares”, City tours, Intro screens, etc. I saw the quick intro and it’s magnificent and a great compromise. It adds a very nice splash of almost TV production quality? Hard to describe, but the polish gets exponential returns with these little touches. Great work and absolutely hooked on the series. 🇨🇦

This city brought me back to your channel and im watching every single one of them. Corner shops and pubs are a staple of any community here in England, as canada is part of the commonwealth i reckon they should have them too. Where i live there are 5 pubs and 2 corner shops within 10 minute walk of my house.

6:40 I've never seen a highschool in Canada that doesn't have a sports field. Sometimes the field isn't apart of the school but within a block so the kids can use it.

On the sports field at the high school, it's very common for schools to have exactly one dual-use field for soccer and football. They just don't also have baseball or other sports and the fields usually don't have big stands or lots of spectator space
Would love to see an expansion of the down town with more high end offices and residential towers and buildings to accommodate for the new influx of highly educated workers. Also there definitely needs to be some public transportation for the university and high school. Love the video!
You should add police,fire and healthcare near the University. Really starting to enjoy every episode Phil. It kinda reminds me of the OG builds from CS1.
