They really went in a different direction with the prequel Horizon Zero Dawn

Absolutely nailed it on "the best pasta ever and no sauce". This obsession with making everything inoffensive to sell more copies is truly strangling creative arts as a whole, god damn private equity.

The Dialogue in this game reminds me of the way people talk to each other in Ubisoft gameplay reveal trailers.

“Be a little bit mean to me” is so true about modern AAA gaming. Spider-Man 2 is a huge example of this problem.

These lower scale, chill reviews are such a nice change of pace and are a great way to hold us over until your next high effort essay or whatever comes next. Basically just saying please do this more, we all just want to hear you yap man.

It’s annoying that I’ve gotten used to the corpo-GPT style of writing with each new release, incredible pasta sauce analogy btw. It’s the same with the music selection - few bangers but mostly super safe picks that kinda melt into eachother

never heard voice actors sound like they're imitating ai before this game, no joke could go without clarification, no ones talking to each other.

It is kinda odd how street races just feel like any other road race but with a more open course, there’s no risk at all other than the narrators being like “oooo so edgy!”

13:00 I literally cannot have my main home in the estate because of this reason. Only property in the game where you get a 10 second cut scene for just leaving the driveway.

Regarding the audio, I think they made the cars sound more realistic which in turn makes them feel less real. The biggest difference I heard in the audio comparison was intake noise, that low growl coming from the engine bay. The newer forza games change the audio and sound of the car based on where the camera is. I bet if you did the same audio test, but interior view it’d be way better with more intake noise. BUT everyone drives in 3rd person view so it’s just the raspier part of the exhaust everyone hears. Fm4 just had the one audio track so it combined all of the intricate sounds the car makes into one audio track.

10:57 Hello yes, I am one of the someones that appreciates the audio shit. Like got damn, the audio in a car game is genuinely one of the things that makes or breaks immersion. And not just the tone of the engines, the soundtrack, the main screen menu noises/etc. Gran Turismo 3/4 will always hold such a special place in my heart, not only for being baller games, but because of the attention to audio. You can genuinely play the GT4 soundtrack and just have a good time. Having that in your game makes the experience so much more fulfilling.

0:14 Erm actually that's the sound of a V8 not the 13B Twin rotor Wankel engine found in the 1997 Mazda RX-7 FD Type R.
