Yesssssss!!! new ball creative video!!!! These side quest videos away from the main channel content are amazing. So simple, yet detailed review of the game. Keep the content up Jakey, loving this!!!!
2:21 I feel so attacked.
i appreciate the sound comparison, thank you
Thanks for the video / review 1997 Mazda RX-7 FD Type R, always love it when you upload these chill chatting vids.
Man nothing kills a game for me like OP pre-order/DLC bonus content
I was also having the choppy audio when going to the festival grounds or into the city along with a bit of frame drop. although over the last few days the audio issues have went away even though I haven't change anything.
The audio issue is a surround sound headset probably? I had it happen to my Logitech g933 Simplest solution is to install virtual audio cable, route the game audio to it then select the microphone end of the cable in your audio devices and tick "listen to this device" and select your headset.
Have you also noticed this thing that happens in FH6 where, when you’re leaving your estate, your character seems to just full-send the handbrake during the entire drive OUT of said estate? Like the squaling noise and the tire marks go on for what sounds like forever until you finally load into the actual map
2:59 mfw im on the toilet cuz i be shittin on the porcelain ball
thank you for talking about the difficulty, i've been going crazy trying to just finish a race anywhere above like 6th place in unbeatable. it almost feels like at that difficulty level you're just restarting the race until you find the right rng so that the lead car will mess up so you can actually catch up
Audio is so much more important that a lot of people realise I agree. A lot of the time in the wild, you'll hear a dream car before you see it, and the sound it makes as it goes by will stick with you. I can't remember what Gran Turismo it was but I could suddenly hear the other cars and it immersed me so much.
Horizon 1 story did so little yet made such a big impact. Every new wristband you got you had a new "boss", top dog/rival on that tier and at the end of every "tier" of races you had that big one on one duel where you'd get your opponent's car if you win. And that gave you something to look forward to, something to mark your ascension to a new tier + it allowed devs to give you a free car to curate your experience and make it feel earned. Also street races felt so much better in FH1. All it took was couple of voice lines saying that these races aren't really sanctioned by the festival and suddenly you felt like sick ass rebel while doing street races. Touches like these and a tangible sense of progression is what made FH1 so special and is what every single entry since lacks
11:52 that’s the exact street race I’m stuck on rn, ik I’m bad and I it doesn’t help that I only use a steering wheel but still, it feels impossible to catch up to the last 2 guys up front even if you play dirty and slam through everyone😂
There's absolutely no convincing me that this games dialogue was NOT written by AI. Those examples were the epitome of AI.
Audio critique is so justified, Racing games are the single genre where real recordings are most important
10:05 that doesn't even sound accurate but it SOUNDS SO GOOOOOOOOOD OMG PURRRRRR BABY REOW
"CARPG" is such a good classification of game genre
they needed all of the devs to replay horizon 1 and get that level of sauce in their system and try to recreate that feeling in the story
Hey man, I was on the audio team for the most recent Motorsport. I feel the same way about basically everything you said. Good bones, completely missing vibes. Only thing I can add is that the cars in Horizon are mixed around the music, and to make upgraded cars sound more badass you can’t crank the stock sound like FM4 did.
