Pricing is going up, quality going down. $70 is too much for a short ass game
Swatting isn't a form of harassment, it should be treated as attempted murder.
As someone who’s heavily invested in multiple hobbies under the greater Hasbro umbrella, I can absolutely ASSURE you that Chris Cocks is not actually going to be serving the consumers’ interest in the video game space
Just read a comment saying "Price so bad, people are playing their backlog"...
Developers need to pause their new games and fix their current ones
What a surprise. Nobody is willing to buy unfinished $80 games, which also run poorly on a $10,000 PC.
Price isn’t the issue for me- it’s the fact that games are just undeniably BETTER after an extra 6 months to a year after release. Combine that with the fact that game development has plateaued, and games from 10 years ago the same as a new game, you don’t feel the FOMO and can just work your way through your backlog until games are finally in a “final” state.
I wouldn't pat the CEO of Hasbro on the back... he recently announced they going heavy on making Dungeons and Dragons shift to "live service" and "microtransaction" models going forward... from the brief summary I heard, fans are not happy, especially since this was after WoC posted records profits and still suffered massive layoffs of employees. I honestly would not expect the gaming changes at Hasbro to last, as popularity of those titles while economic down turns are occuring may result in them being more predatory with monetisation.
Swatters should be charged with attempted murder as there are enough cases were people have died from it.
Yep. I don't buy new games. I don't feel like being a beta tester for their bugs
buying new games in 2026: -requires 70-80 dollars a piece -requires a console or pc that costs more than 700 dollars barring the switch 2 -usually comes with baggage (poor optimization, bad writing, gameplay that gets stale after like, an hour, it's live service slop, etc.) gee i wonder why no one is buying new (AAA) games
Coincidentally “online tabletop” DnD is going to a live service model 😆🤣
I pre-ordered Pragmata and First Light, because they were Single Player games that looked promising enough to invest in. Thanks to many looks from guys like y'all
Games are released in such sad states now. You pay 70-80 dollars and can’t enjoy it for 2-3 months until they patch it all. It’s ridiculous.
Video games are $70 - 85 after tax controllers are $75 after tax, consoles are basically $1,000 That's why no one is buying new games because people legit cannot afford to.
Waited for over a decade for GTA6, I'll wait longer until hits PC. Not double dipping again this time.
Hasbro also just (and I mean as-of-this-a-few-days-ago "just") announced that it would be making D&D a monthly subscription model, effectively killing the most recognizable IP in tabletop gaming. So it's been 11 minutes since this video went up and the information in it is already outdated.
No one is buying games because most people are just broke at this point. Can barley afford to make dinner at home let alone a new game.
Glad people are not buying 70 dollars games. That price should never exist
If it's not on sale, and/ or ported to the PC... It simply won't be bought by ME.
