From what I know, it was still offside because messi is still involve in the attack, even though he didn't even move, but the ball is so close to him that it can be seen as a decoy, means involving in the attack

Yea-so umm, being offside only matters if you actually interfere with the play. If you didn’t, the play resets or continues & you can score later once you’re back onside. Messi’s decision to let the ball run through showed his incredible football IQ, which is why the ref allowed the goal. 🤔😏🤭
