In The Boys Season 5, the writers at least attempted to make the scene feel logical by using an unbreakable object to stop Oh Father’s destructive sonic ability. But in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Bolt a character whose comic accurate whisper can destroy mountains, somehow loses to what basically looks like a thin layer of skin created by Scarlet Witch. Yes, the movie implies reality warping and that his mouth no longer physically existed, but visually it still feels hilarious to many fans. Especially considering how insanely overpowered Black Bolt is supposed to be in Marvel comics. The scene works as horror imagery, but in terms of power scaling, a lot of viewers still think Marvel massively nerfed him for shock value. #theboys #blackbolt #doctorstrange2 #multiverseofmadness #marvel #mcu #homelander #ComicAccurate #marvelcomics #superhero #moviedetails #powerscaling

"If u cannot defeated from the outside ther is always away in the inside, if u think."
In the words of agent Smith, "What good is a phone call, if you cannot speak."
One thing they've shown with Supes consistently is that their skin tends to be strong but not what's underneath or inside.
They did blackbolt dirty.
Why are MM’s arms still attatched then
This video is underrated I will definitely recommend this.
Vocals trapped behind caliszed skin not just a thin layer wonda is smarter than that
I still haven't watched a single episode.
It was Black Bolts on skin which can withstand his own power.
hughie always getting blood splatter all over his face man
Im pretty sure mutants like Blackbolt, their bodies are structured and desigmed to handle usage of their powers in a natural state(aka when his mouth has a opening), if he didnt have those adaptions, his body would likely liquify from the inside out.
I was thinking that too. His panicked scream would’ve have killed him it would’ve tore open a new mouth hole with the amount of kinetic force.
The second I saw that ball gag my first thought was “if it does his job wouldn’t his head be the weakest point for the pressure to escape” and sure enough, pop goes the weasel.
Strength of his helmet vs no helmet
That Wanda scene was insane, I didn’t for a second think they’d go that dark in a marvel movie. Was cool af and probably the coolest scene in all of the marvel movies, Thor embracing the god of thunder in Ragnarok was excellent too.
Other than that, MM would need to be really fucking strong to hold the ball like that
Why would they show this in a marvel movie which is Disney.
His skin would have to be strong enough to withstand that frequency so it makes sense that if the sound bounces back with no where to go it would explode
what trips me out is how much the non supe boys tanked certain things. Oh Father was able to send people yards, supe or non and MMs arms should’ve at least hurt after that
It's almost like one is kid friendly and the other is not....
