Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup white sugar until smooth and fluffy. Let them cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
