Salvation was a great movie and I’m tired of pretending it wasn’t.
RIP Anton Yelchin ❤
I really wish they made Terminator Salvation just as grittier then the first one.
Salvation got a bad rap, I really enjoyed it and it is the only film to date that really fleshed out the future war, is it perfect? No but the hate it gets is a little much
Breaks my heart that Anton Yelchin died. It’s such a young age.
I wonder if Michael Biehn added to his performance to look stiff and almost in shock when heading out the streets in LA. I mean it's the first time in his life he sees this much living people in a not ruined city and also during daylight. Am I just reading in to this?
Salvation is the most underrated movie of the saga. I really love it.
Man we never did get enough of Michael Biehn. I really wish we had more movies from him during his action hero era. Guy is a legend.
Candid shots of people walking in the streets during the 80s and 90s are so surreal. I yearn to live in a world like that.
Salvation was better than ppl give it credit for.
Of all the sequels after 2 this was the best.
My best friend in the whole world since middle school died in 2019 at the age of 30 from a sudden but severe work related accident. His favorite movies were T1/T2, his older brother's are Alien 1/2, and mine is Predator 1/2. Between the three of us we covered the greats lol. I have very fond memories of driving to the theatre on that warm late spring day, getting pulled over by the cops because he was a mechanic opening his own classic car restoration shop, and he always had something that pissed them off going on with his car lmao. Anyway, the cops were cool. We ended up staying extra to chat with them about the Terminator universe, and then somehow we nerded out about martial arts for 15 minutes. They let him go with just a warning. Theater was dark and cold. My friend never drank soda but would always make ME order a cherry coke so he could pretend he didn't want any but share mine lol. We enjoyed it thoroughly, even though today it gets a bad wrap. He really, really liked the skynet super-bike highway drones - on account of being a mechanic and car nut. He loved motorcycles, too. Anything loud and fast, he loved. I really liked the nuke detonation scene. Our only complaint was the scene where Bale gets grabbed by the T-600. In reality, John Connor would have been screwed. Being grabbed by a terminator means instant death, really. We thought it should've been handled a bit differently. But we both thought that Sam Worthington was a boss and a good actor. His name was Dan. I always whispered at him "Danny boy!" like the scene from Predator 2 where the Pred is trying to get into Harrigan's head. It creeped him out too lol. I don't think about him much, really. It's too painful, tbh. He died suddenly at his job site and it was his boss's fault entirely - though, nothing ever happened to that SOB as a result. He was married and thinking about kids. I'm 36 now and I have two of my own. He never got to meet my wife or kids. He never got to see me follow my dreams. Him dying so violently and so quickly left a big hollow feeling inside of me. We were gonna go to the range the coming weekend and plink some targets. I just feel numb about it, now. We were inseparable from middle school to the early 2010s before we both had to go separate ways for work/life. RIP Danny boy 1989-2019. One day we will get to play AvP2 on the LAN again, I hope.
Salvation was and still is a dope movie Pissed me off that there wasn't a part 2
Loved salvation and loved the terminator game for it i used to watch it all the time lol
The "give everything an origin story" method is so rarely this well done ngl, lot better than han buying a solo pass
That kid was awesome. We lost him too soon. 😢
I usednto think T2 was the best, but looking back now I realize the first was the best. Tbe look, the sound, the feel. What a classic!
Salvation is my third favorite Terminator movie. I don’t give a rip what people think. Sam Worthington and Christian Bale and Anton Yelchin nailed it. The reason people don’t like it is it didn’t follow their terminator formula. But it was an original story.
Dang, the extras in there didnt know the camera was already rolling on the street scene 😅🤔
Salvation is the only Terminator movie that actually as good as the first 2 Terminator movies.
