How would the bank even allow someone to open an account of a minor without them present in the first place?

First one yes, counts as child abandonment. Second one, if they bought it you’re shit out of luck unless someone else bought it for you or you bought it yourself they can do whatever they want with it. Third one, very illegal and counts as fraud. While opening up a credit account on behalf of a minor isn’t itself illegal(may vary by state) using a card without the express consent of the one it is legally issued to is very much illegal. In such a scenario you can contact the company or bank it was issued from and tell them to pause the card and inform them of what’s happening, from there seek legal counsel as the law varies from state to state but you will need to compile evidence to prove you were not the one making the purchases to avoid being stuck with a debt you didn’t incur and most law firms offer free consultation on legal matters.

I actually think that parents taking their kid’s property should be illegal. Because one. It isn’t their property and personal information. And second. It doesn’t matter if the kid is a minor or is over 18.

My mom uses the one I bought but I bought a phone myself and she brought it back to Walmart and took the money for it was 250$ and she took it and stoled it
