The Monster EXPLAINED (Backrooms Movie)

Asking me to explain this movie is like describing a dog to someone who's never seen one, then asking them to draw it

My idea on the mold monster is that it's a copy that got replicated so much, that it has lost even the vague resemblance to being human.

We were all laughing at Clark doing the pirate thing at the start but no one was laughing at this form of pirate Clark in the end

The Captain Clark monster was so unexpected and brilliant in my opinion. It harkened back to the bizarre and insane entity in Smile 2. I faking loved this movie!

Loved how uneasy and scared this movie made me! Bobby getting dragged away was a hard watch tho!

The monster in the movie is just the monster that specifically roams the area near cap'n clarks market. The original one is probably another one that specifically roams the area the camera man fell in

I agree with you on mostly everything. The only thing that I had a different interpretation was the deeper meaning. I thought the movie was more about getting over bad memories and past trauma. All the rooms are part of someone's old memory All the entities are a husk that represents one's past trauma that the individual has successfully moved on from. Whereas why Clark's entity (Pirate Clark) is so aggressive is because it's a manifestation of his vented anger towards the world for not letting him achieve his dream job. And the reason it decided to kill Clark was because it's like the old vented anger and bad side of Clark that refuses to believe that Clark and the entity itself was at fault

Captain Clark and the rest of the “Monsters” in the Backrooms are Still Life’s. The first one was featured in “Found Footage #3” and we didn’t get a good look at one until now. The theory that Clark’s Still Life’s behavior is correlated to his own might be true but we’ve seen other Still Life’s react weirdly to different people. For instance, the Still Life for Clark’s wife was chasing him in the Christmas tree room and the Still Life from FF3 chased after Ravi, the main character of the episode. They seem to just behave weirdly depending on if they were formed while someone was sitting down or if they were moving about when they originally formed.

I thought it just didn't like noise, as shown when it attacks the cardboard cutout. Every person it attacks was making noise beforehand. Perhaps Clark was silent around the monster until this point, so it didn't feel the need to kill him.

My one idea for how the monster could become the bacteria is that the Backrooms stopped trying to copy Clark and is now copying his corpse. We’ve seen what the Backrooms does to a rotting corpse so it’s not a stretch that the bacteria entity is an exaggerated blackened rotting dead body. It almost resembles a mummy with its thin frame and blackened skin.

8:40 Honestly, I think this theory could somewhat be refined. What if it is the Clark monster, but just misremembered by the Backrooms? It gets skinier, loses its color, details fade away and by the time Kane Parsons falls into the Backrooms in 1996, it has been misremembered to just a wire-like entity.

I have a theory with the bacteria entity that’s it captain clark monster but when real Clark died the backrooms started forgetting the real Clark so it distorted 100 times like said AI is doing and it turned into this thing.

I think the clark copy eating Clark is him interpreting what Clark said. He says right before “we don’t have to change” the monster has been eating and killing people and embodies Clark’s aggression. So Clark is literally telling him to go back to his old ways so he eats Clark.

This movie was so much more terrifying than I thought it would be
