The backrooms creepypasta started in 2019 but the image had been taken in 2006

It might not be a direct reference but in the game your sanity goes down the longer you’re in there and I think it’s funny how Clark was “low” in sanity in the real world and then finally felt sane and at peace in the backrooms. And the opposite happens for the therapist. Also they definitely slimed her out in the end. The people who were copied wrongly or “remembered” might be a reference to how entities disguised themselves as your partners in the game to lure you towards them, but you could sometimes tell it isn’t acting like your friend.

They literally show A-Sync in the beginning. And if you have watched Kane then you somewhat already know. This movie was fan service. It was for the fans.

One of the two creepiest flicks I'ver ever seen, along with Frankenstein's Army. And I'm 64, so I've seen a lot. Grossing 11 million on opening day almost guaratees a sequel, IMHO.

I think Mary starts working for a sync and we eventually find out Mary's mother wasn't as crazy as she seemed With time travel being a thing and Mary having her own little corner of the backrooms, I think she and a sync investigate it and find a door to her mother before the time we see her in the movie. Her mother finds an infinite, twisted version of her house and a bunch of people in modern hazmat suits, with someone who's impersonating an adult version of her infant daughter, that might be enough to drive you to crazed paranoia. Also, we kind of assume Mary's father isn't around because of how crazy her mother is, but if they explored the backrooms her father might have died in there. And who knows, her mother could find the copy of Mary before finding the real Mary and that would probably be enough to have some trust issues; the people outside aren't real people

Number 6 is wrong, thats the idea that they pitched to the goverment so that they could continue exploring the backrooms legally. The real goal of async is different.

in the youtube series, the complex (backrooms) emits a green light when it creates new rooms. During the chase scene with mary and the entity, right before the room with all the couches, on the left in a room you can see a green glow of light down a hallway. This is a nod to the complex creating more rooms while mary is actively being chased.

I have a theory that they don't kill Mary I think they will actually use her I shall become a valuable asset. Now if she refuses yeah I think they'll get rid of her but something tells me that what did gentlemen tell her when he says we both want the same thing I think he's 100% right.
