The shrieking shack was literally a Gryffindor hangout spot, since the marauders were all in Gryffindor they're not going to hang Slytherin decor? Maybe it was placed there in that scene for that reason, but since we find out Snape was against Voldemort pretty soon after that, I don't think it was to do with his "bravery".

I just realised how liquid luck is another example of the terrible writing in Harry Potter. Why didn't Voldemort just drink liquid luck all the time? He would have won easily and the story is over.
