It also foreshadows that smoke will protect and save Sammie later on
Yeah. Also the eyes shine the similar to all the vampires
Ecclesiasticus 21:2 KJV “Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent: for if thou comest too near it, it will bite thee: the teeth thereof are as the teeth of a lion, slaying the souls of men.”
I believe Smoke showing up right before Remmick bit Sammy is symbolic of the saying "God might not show up when you want him but he's always on time."
Thank you for that. It's very clear now what it symbolizes. What a great movie of symbols.
A lot of metaphors in this film, thats why it was so enjoyable 😉
It's also kinda common and obvious that the devil himself often targets children of preacher's and pastors it's very damming
I personally like to that when the Snake shows up in the film it represents how Sammie is sort of dancing wit the devil and in the Bible the Devil turns into a Snake.
Saul Williams playing his Dad is such a good casting choice
Cool thing about art is that snake can represent whatever you want it to represent.
The meaning of this movie is that it shows us that satan can temp us with money but also the music that attracts everyone 😢
I thought they put snake there on purpose to kill or scare any looters that found the truck? 😅
Temptation leads to sin ...
I always thought Stack planted that snake there.
There's more to this than entertainment I haven't seen it yet but see things I was told as a child
I also felt like the snake was remmick for some reason😂
The snake is amongst the cargo of alcohol (which was, at the time, prohibited), symbolising that along with the pleasures and opportunity the opening night of the juke joint holds, come temptation and danger.
And here I thought it represented a snake.
Great horror movie! With "Sinners" and "Get Out" the horror movie genre is in good hands with Black directors!
And it sounds like you're looking for something that isn't there
